School is out for the summer and as the season is heating up, you are probably wondering what things there are to do around the Rocket City. If you are looking for a place that offers a variety of food options, good drinks, and plenty of entertainment, you don’t have to go all the way downtown to find what you are looking for. Instead, come check out everything happening this summer at Stovehouse.
Musical Performances
Throughout the summer, you can different performances from bands and artists that offer a range of musical styles. If you are tired of sitting in the crowd and enjoy performing on the stage, then you will not want to miss the Amplified – Open Mic at the Electric Belle. Whether you are a comedian, musician, or singer, this is your chance to show off your talents.
Dance the Night Away
If you enjoy dancing or want to pick up dancing, the Electric Belle at Stovehouse offers multiple opportunities to learn a variety of dances. Specifically, there are multiple chances to go line dancing and West Coast Swing. These dance opportunities offer a dance lesson for about an hour, going over easy basics. After the lesson, there is a two to three-hour dance social where you can dance the night away with the moves you have learned.
Trivial Pursuit
Every Tuesday evening, you can gather with your friends and put your heads together to see if you can answer the questions for trivia. From 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday nights, Pourhouse presents trivia in the food court area of Stovehouse. From Parks & Rec to The Office and more, there are plenty of fun trivia themes each Tuesday night.
Parties
Stovehouse can throw a good party at the Electric Belle. This summer there will be two fun party themes that you will not want to miss. The first is the Retro Rock Revival: The Ultimate 80s Party. If you are a fan of Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Tears for Fears, or Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, this party is for you. Show up acid-wash jeans, shoulder pads, parachute pants, and teased hair. The 80s party will be on June 7th from 7:30 to 10 pm.
The other party is August 8th, and it is Boot Scootin’ Boogie Nights – A Night of 90s Country. Don’t worry about ruining any black-tie affair. At this party, you are encouraged to show up in your boots, donning a cowboy hat. Have a blast listening to 90’s classic country as you dance with your friends.
Mark Your Calendars for Fun this Summer
As you can see, there is plenty to do at Stovehouse this summer. When you are not dancing or playing trivia, you can grab a bite or drink at Stovehouse. There are wonderful restaurants and eateries as well as the Pourhouse and Charlie Foster’s Espresso & Wine Bar. There are several unique boutiques down Gas Light Alley at Stovehouse where you can do a bit of shopping. Come have a blast this summer at Stovehouse!
