Welcome to Downtown / Five Points

Check out one of the most sought after areas in Huntsville

Although Downtown and Five Points share the same geographical area, each place has a distinct feel and personality. This artistic neighborhood is the perfect blend of charming and trendy. Downtown is home to the dynamic city center and some of the most expensive and exclusive homes in Huntsville. The stately historic districts of Twickenham and Old Town offer a plethora of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. The neighboring Five Points is known for its charm and artistic personality. Here, you will find plenty of art galleries, museums, local boutiques, and music.

The origins of Huntsville can be traced back to 1805—the recognized founding of the city upon the arrival of Revolutionary War veteran John Hunt. In 1811, Huntsville became the first incorporated town in Alabama.

Homes in Downtown are some of the most expensive in the area and often date back to the 1800s and early 1900s. Five Points is characterized by historic, modestly sized bungalow-style homes.
